Final Year Project; OBO Goalkeeping Training Aids
For my final year project at University i identified a neich in the field hockey market for training aids...
The project was carried out in collaboration with goalkeeping market leaders OBO. Evaluation on my final concept ideas was undertaken by the International coaches at Spartan International. This project will be on display at the Product Designers Market and New Designers. I have just come to an arrangement with OBO to bring these ideas to market in July 2009! Please give me your comments on the ideas.

Pentland Brands Eco Sandal
This project was a final year live project with brand giants Pentland. The brief involved designing an eco "street" sandal for one of Pentland's brands. The design received an honorary mention for the simplicity of manufacture and environmentally sustainable material selection; a good addition to the Brasher range.

OBO Helmet Paint Job Competition
OBO goalkeeping ran a competition in May 2008; Design a paint job for the Robo helmet. This was the entry for the competition. Sadly i did'nt win; but you gotta be in it to win it!

Eurobot; Team Etalian Job
Eurobot is an amateur robotics contest; within the second year of my degree at Middlesex i was required to build and compete with the competition. The game objective changes every year with the 2006 topic being "Funny Golf". I was elected as the leader of the Etalian Job team, and lead the team to winning the UK heats and earning 42nd place in the World Finals held in Sicily.

Nike Cad visualisation
This was a first year cad visualisation project from my course at Middlesex University. I choose to modle and render a Nike "active" water bottle. The cad drawing was made in Autocad and rengered in 3d Studio Max.

Middlesex Babylab Research Puppet
This was a live project in conjunction with a Middlesex University research department;Babylab. The puppet was designed to appeal to different stimuli of children; movement, sound, light and sound. The puppet enabled the researcher to monitor the child's response to each different event activated. The prototype is being used within the research department.

TNG Origami Balancing Bird
A live project competition in collaboration with training and business consultancy TNG. The brief was to design a promotional gift that had longevity, fun and advertised the company. The design was selected as a winning concept, for which i received public recognition and a cash prize.

Turn 'n' Learn
My A-Level Design and Technology project: Turn 'n' learn. The interactive learning aid incorporated "U-Turn" technology to educate children at key stage 3 level (Ages 9-12) of basic energy conversions. The final concept received rigorous user testing from Oldcastle Junior school and evaluation from Techniquest's Research and Development head Rob White. The project was selected to attend the Welsh A-Level Innovation Awards in 2004.
